Abstract (eng): | Mobile ad hoc networks are often considered as autonomous entities without outside connections. Network routing clouds may partition or merge but usually connectivity to or reach ability from the Internet is not specified. This thesis presents a novel solution for establishing and maintaining global connectivity and reach ability in a mobile ad hoc network. Using AODV routing protocol to provide intra-manet routing and Mobile IPv6 to provide global reach ability, a node can remain connected and reachable through a special gateway, even when node resides in ad hoc network cloud. To discover this special gateway, basic AODV protocol is extended with a gateway infomation extension. |
