Abstract (fin): | Työn tarkoituksena on määrittää, kuinka laajennettua merkkauskieltä (eXtended Markup Language) voidaan käyttää internet protokollaa käyttävien verkkojen hallinnassa. Ensimmäinen tavoite on löytää informaatiomalli verkkojen hallintatiedolle. Tätä varten tutkitaan DMTF:n Common Information Model (CIM) -mallia. Työssä hahmotellaan myös laajennus CIM:iin IP-verkkojen konfiguraatiohallintaa varten. Hahmotelmassa otetaan huomioon myös General Packet Radio System verkkojen konfiguraatiohallinnan ominaisuudet. Työn toinen tavoite on tutkia XML yli Hypertext Transfer Protocol:n lähestymistapaa ja kuinka se soveltuu verkonhallintaprotokollaksi. Sopiva menetelmä XML:llä koodattujen hallintaoperaatioiden sisällyttämiseksi HTTP viesteihin valitaan ja olemassa olevia CIM operaatioita evaluoidaan. |
