Abstract (eng): | Indoor climate quality (ICQ) is an important element in people's health and well-being, especially as the amount of time that people spend indoors is increasing. Typically ICQ is determined by measuring environmental variables such as temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration, and attempting to deduce the quality from them. However, by using real-time feedback from users of the building to augment sensor measurements, the understanding of ICQ could be broadened. The objective of this Thesis was to investigate how to develop a system for gathering, storing and combining data from environmental sensors and user feedback. The Thesis presents an architecture of such a system. The architecture is validated with a proof-of-concept implementation that collects measurement data from a wireless sensor network and user feedback from a mobile application. The implementation is deployed in an office environment for testing. The results show that implementing the system using the designed architecture enables flexible development and deployment of the system. The work shows that this architecture is a viable approach for developing an integration platform for indoor climate data management. |
Abstract (fin): | Sisäilmaston laatu vaikuttaa merkittävästi ihmisten terveyteen ja hyvinvointiin, erityisesti koska sisätiloissa vietettävän ajan määrä kasvaa. |
