Abstract (eng): | In this work a statistical uncertainty and sensitivity analysis tool is developed and then coupled to the APROS nuclear safety simulation. The idea of statistical uncertainty analysis is with multiple inputs with different combinations of uncertainties related to the code, plant data and user effects to get multiple simulation results for the statistical evaluation of output uncertainty. In the future the statistical evaluation of uncertainty will probably be an important part of best-estimate safety simulations. The uncertainty and sensitivity analysis tool is developed and integrated into APROS testing software Testing Station. The probabilistic uncertainty method developed by GRS in Germany is used as a statistical method. The analysis tool and method are then tested in a loss of coolant accident analysis case of Loviisa nuclear power plant, In addition to the uncertainty analysis, in which 12 uncertainty parameters are varied, a calculation with conservative input values is performed for comparison. Based on the made accident analysis, it is concluded that the use of uncertainty and sensitivity method improves the reliability of the analysis. It is also concluded that the GRS method can be used even in the most complicated accident analyses and that the use of Testing Station analysis tool reduces required work significantly. The development work was made in Fortum Nuclear Services Ltd. The implementation of code to the Testing Station was made in co-operation with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. |
Abstract (fin): | Diplomityössä kehitetään työkalu APROSin turvallisuusanalyyseille tehtävään tilastolliseen epävarmuus- ja herkkyystarkasteluun. |
