Abstract (eng): | This thesis aims to identify a two-mass model describing the mechanics in an electrical drive. For this purpose, a method is developed based on discrete polynomial models which enable identification of the mechanical parameters in open- and closed-loop cases. For the closed-loop speed-controlled cases, the signals used for identification can be taken from different parts of the system. The thesis uses four different identification setups and compares the identifiabilities of the setups. The speed controller comprises a simple P controller. The influence of the gain of the speed controller is investigated. A discrete polynomial model is estimated by using the ARX, IV and OE methods, which are compared based on the accuracies of the given estimates. Simulations reveal that the ARX method is insufficient for identifying a two-mass system when even slight measurement noise is present in the speed signal. The IV and OE methods give good results. Simulations show that the gain of the speed controller has a major effect on the identifiability of the system. Laboratory measurements confirm the success of the method based on discrete polynomial models. All four identification setups can be utilized to obtain reasonable parameter estimates. These results suggest that the developed method can be used in tasks such as the design of motion controllers in order to prevent harmful resonances in two-mass systems as well as to enhance dynamic accuracy. |
Abstract (fin): | Tässä työssä tutkitaan sähkökäytön mekaniikkaa kuvaavan kaksimassamallin identifiointia. Tavoitteena on kehittää diskreetteihin polynomimalleihin pohjautuva menetelmä, jolla voidaan tunnistaa mekaniikan parametrit avoimessa ja nopeussäädetyssä suljetun silmukan tapauksessa. Nopeussäädetyssä tapauksessa identifioinnissa käytetyt signaalit voidaan ottaa useasta eri kohdasta järjestelmää. Työssä on käytössä neljä eri identifiointijärjestelyä, joiden välistä valintaa identifioitavuuden kannalta tutkitaan. Käytössä oleva nopeussäädin on yksinkertainen P-säädin, jonka vahvistuksen vaikutus eri identifiointijärjestelyihin selvitetään. Diskreetti polynomimalli estimoidaan työssä ARX-, IV- ja OE-menetelmillä, joita verrataan näiden antamien estimaattien tarkkuuksien pohjalta. Simulointien avulla osoitetaan ARX-menetelmän olevan riittämätön kaksimassajärjestelmän identifiointiin, jos nopeudenmittaukseen summautuu pienikin häiriökohina. IV- ja OE-menetelmät osoittautuvat toimiviksi. Nopeussäätimen vahvistuksen valinnalla huomataan olevan erittäin suuri vaikutus identifioitavuuteen. Mittauksissa diskreetteihin polynomimalleihin pohjautuvan identifiointimenetelmän todetaan toimivan käytännössä. Kohtuullisen tarkat parametriestimaatit saadaan kaikissa tarkastelluissa avoimen ja suljetun silmukan tapauksissa. Kehitetty menetelmä osoittautuu tulosten perusteella käyttökelpoiseksi esimerkiksi liikkeenohjauksen säätimien suunnittelua varten, kun halutaan estää haitalliset resonanssit järjestelmässä ja parantaa dynaamista tarkkuutta. |
