Abstract (eng): | In this thesis the aim was to find a suitable connection detail for precast hollow-core slabs and walls in residential buildings in seismic regions. A short literature overview is introduced, consisting of general seismic design and Eurocode 8. Typical connection details were also introduced. The proposed connection detail was investigated by creating a FEM model of a residential building with Scia Engineer software. In the analysis response spectrum was used to generate the seismic loading. Internal forces and natural frequencies were determined. The calculations were performed with three different design accelerations in order to determine the suitability of the connection. Based on the internal forces adequate reinforcement was obtained. The ductility of the connection was estimated by investigating rotation at yield and ultimate limit state. The results showed that the connection can withstand the seismic design forces for Eurocode soil type A with a maximum de-sign acceleration of 0,3g if the assumed tension and compression zones do not shift. The ductility assessment showed that the ductility ratio was not as high as would be desirable. Hence the ductili-ty should be investigated with experimental testing. |
Ehdotettua liitosdetaljia tutkittiin muodostamalla FEM-malli kerrostalosta käyttäen Scia Engineering -ohjelmaa. |
