Abstract (eng): This thesis presents different light sources and compares their characteristics.
A large part of the thesis consists of a literature survey.
One of the aims is also to investigate which requirements the lighting in shops has to fulfil.
In one case it is studied whether changing general lighting to LEDs in a clothing store in a shopping mall would be worthwhile today.
Lighting measurements are carried out in a clothing store in which ceramic metal halide lamps are used as a lighting source.
Furthermore, questionnaires and interviews are used in order to find out how the customers and personnel experience the lighting in the shop where the research was conducted.
The results show, for the time being, that the ceramic metal halide lamp is a more efficient light source than the LED for general lighting in the clothing store where the research was conducted and where a lot of light is desired.
Abstract (fin): Tässä työssä tutustutaan eri valonlähteisiin ja vertaillaan niiden ominaisuuksia.
Suuri osa työstä koostuu kirjallisuuskatsauksesta.
Tavoitteena on myös kartoittaa vaatimuksia, joita kauppakeskusten liikkeet asettavat valaistukselle.
Työssä otetaan selville, kannattaako yleisvalaistuksen vaihtaminen eräässä kauppakeskuksen vaateliikkeessä tällä hetkellä LED-valaisimiin.
Valaistusta tutkitaan suorittamalla mittauksia vaateliikkeessä, jossa keraamisia monimetallilamppuja on käytetty valonlähteenä.
Asiakkaiden ja henkilökunnan kokemuksia valaistuksesta kartoitetaan kyselytutkimuksilla ja haastatteluilla samassa liikkeessä.
Tulokset osoittavat, että keraaminen monimetallilamppu on tällä hetkellä LED-valaisimia tehokkaampi valonlähde yleisvalaistukseen vaateliikkeessä, jossa tutkimus suoritettiin.
