Abstract (eng): | Fieldbus based field devices have been purchased for Helsingin Energia while modernizing district heating plants. However, the additional features brought by the fieldbus technology are not in use. The diagnostic features of field devices and utilizing them in the maintenance of district heating plants is the object of the study. Fieldbus based intelligent field devices offer a wide range of diagnostic features. There are ready-made solutions for condition monitoring based for example on FDT/DTM technology. The aim is to move towards more preventive maintenance instead of corrective maintenance. The best concept in the case of Helsingin Energia proved to be using a centralized system. In this model the condition monitoring system is connected directly to the fieldbuses. This makes them independent of the local control system. In addition to the technical concept, the future use of the application and the challenges caused by it, are taken into consideration. The cost efficiency of the system depends strongly on the use of the system and the amount of commitment by the users. By utilizing diagnostic features and condition monitoring system, cost reductions can be achieved. However, the greatest potential is in a more efficient way of organizing the day-to-day maintenance. |
Abstract (fin): | Helsingin Energialle on lämpökeskusten modernisointien yhteydessä hankittu lukuisiin kohteisiin kenttäväyläpohjaisia kenttälaitteita. Kenttäväylien tuomat lisäominaisuudet ovat kuitenkin jääneet käyttämättä. Työssä tutkitaan kenttälaitteiden diagnostiikkaominaisuuksia ja niiden hyödyntämistä Helsingin Energian lämpökeskusten kunnossapidossa. Väyläpohjaiset älykkäät kenttälaitteet mahdollistavat monipuoliset diagnostiikkaominaisuudet. Kenttälaitteiden kunnonvalvontaan on tarjolla valmiita sovelluksia esimerkiksi FDT/DTM teknologiaan perustuen. Pyrkimyksenä on siirtyä yhä enemmän suunnitelmalliseen ennakoivaan kunnossapitoon, korjaavan kunnossapidon sijaan. Suurin potentiaali tulee kuitenkin toiminnan tehokkaammasta organisoinnista ennakoivan kunnossapidon muodossa. |
