Abstract (eng): | This thesis is about the friction of the ice-ice contact and it concentrates in the friction at sliding velocities over 0.01 m/s. In this case a lubricating water layer forms between the two ice surfaces. The water layer reduces the friction coe_cient. The thermodynamic model by Oksanen [Oks83] is assumed to hold. It was found out that the hardness of ice and the related pressure melting play important roles in the model. Modelled and measured friction coe_cients were compared to each other. It was found out that the model predicts reasonably well the magnitude of the friction coefficient and the dependence of the sliding velocity and temperature. Finally, the new friction model was implemented as a user-subroutine to ABAQUS/Explicitsoftware by FORTRAN-language. |
Abstract (fin): | Työ käsittelee kahden jääkappaleen välisen kitkan teoriaa ja sen implementointia jään murtumisen mallintamiseen. Lopuksi muodostettu kitkamalli implementoitiin aliohjelmaksi ABAQUS/Explicit-ohjelmistoon FORTRAN-kielellä. |
