Tiivistelmä:Barriers are external environmental obstacles to effective marketing thinking over which marketers have little direct control. Each industry has its own set of barriers including competitors, technological limits, or financial realities. "Barricades" are internal obstacles which develop inside the company. 8 types of barricades are listed. To spot them a formal Marketing Improvement Program /MIP/ must be carried out. After discovering a barricade, corrective action should be worked out.
