| Tiivistelmä: | A poll in California found that seven out of ten attorneys would change careers if they had the opportunity. A quarter of the lawyers in the state are on inactive status with the state bar association. A Rand corporation study found that half of all lawyers would choose not to become a lawyer if they had to do it all over again. A study by Johns Hopkins University researchers found that lawyers are more likely to be depressed than members of 103 other occupations. In North Carolina, 11 percent of lawyers polled admitted considering suicide at least once a month. |
