| Tiivistelmä: | Mechanical tools are classified by material into special steel tools, cemented carbide tools and diamond tools (including CBN tools). Sometimes industrial saws and knives and grinders are included as mechanical tools. In this article special steel tools, cemented carbide tools, diamond tools, and industrial saws and knives are defined as mechanical tools, and their recent trends are briefly presented. Production of mechanical tools grew steeply in the period of bubble economy along with the expanded production activities of user industries such as automobile and electric machinery. |
