The paper considers the Neuer Markt company and reports on economic problems in Germany. The paper also provides the lowering projections for the gross domestic product and forecasts the increase in unemployment. The author also pays an attention to the poor performance of the Neuer Markt, to the shift of the German economy from reliance on the state toward individual responsibility and to the privatization of formerly state-held industries. The author states that globalization and a business downturn are forcing Europe's biggest economy to reinvent itself. |
