| Tiivistelmä: | This study investigates whether arts attendance is a substitute or a complement of sports attendance. Using detailed data on attendance, it is shown that while active attendees appear likely to attend all types of events, there are clear patterns of substitution between sports and arts as well as some complementarities between arts events of different types. |
