| Tiivistelmä: | There has been only little empirical research on the characteristics of wage rigidity, although it has essential implications for labour markets and macroeconomic performance. This article introduces the feature of the journal by presenting papers that exploit a novel methodology to estimate the incidence and extent of nominal and real wage rigidity in Germany, Italy and Great Britain. The results show the pervasiveness of both nominal and real wage rigidity across the countries and a recent decline in real wage rigidity. |
