Tiivistelmä:In this paper the authors research how perceptions and image of national capital reflect on the domestic tourism to the capital. The authors focus on the Australian national capital Canberra; how it is reflected and how the reflection affects domestic tourism. The authors examine the images, values and perceptions Australian´s have on Canberra. The findings suggest that if both tourism agencies and national capital agencies work more closely together in fostering better visitation to political capitals it will help to build feelings of nationhood as well as correct negative destination reflections.
