| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of this paper is to describe employeesÂ’ experiences at work before and after gender transition. Also the reactions of their co-workers and employers are considered. The paper is based on 28 in-depth personal interviews with transmen and transwomen in USA. The interviews documented how a new social gender identity is achieved in interaction with colleagues, examples of over-doing of gender and what kind of troubles may occur. |
