Tiivistelmä:The study investigates how and to what extent the consumer behavioural processes evident in the giving, receiving and consumption of experience gifts differ from the generic understanding of gift giving behaviour. The study was and interview study. Also empirical evidence from real-life accounts of the giving, receiving and consuming of tourism and leisure products as gifts was used. The findings reveal the constituent parts and processes of decision-making, gift exchange, and post-exchange, consumption and post-consumption. A model of gift giving behaviour is constituted of the steps of the gift giving process.
