| Tiivistelmä: | The article discusses issues concerning the organizational design and its relation to the social environment. The case study presented in this research is Starbucks. An alternate histories method is used to illustrate the design process and problems from entrepreneurs' point of view. The paper reviews designing both the firm level interface and the interface between the firm and its operational environment. |
