Tiivistelmä:Building on theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence from the fields of organizational psychology performance (hereafter as: perf.) and HRM perf., this paper presents a study with a model describing the influence of organisational perf. on employee attitudes and the role of HRM practice as a mediator btw. the two. Using data collected from employee surveys and management interviews in over 30 small firms, it is suggested that employees in firms with better business perf. have more positive attitudes towards three attitude measures, namely overall perceptions of work, job autonomy and the perceived link btw. perf. and reward. In addition, it is also suggested that the association btw. business perf. and employee attitudes is partially mediated by HRM practices.
