Tiivistelmä:This study explores how re-organization of a professional service organization (herein as: org./orgs.) creates tensions and conflicts. A public relations agency, called Orakel, combined the principles of a professional bureaucracy for collective org. and knowledge development with market principles to gain efficient and flexible use of the labour power. It is shown how the history of the org. and the traditional organising principles of consultancies together with the conflicting organizational principles of the new org. caused problems and conflicts btw. worker groups developing incompatible strategies towards management (original in Norwegian).
