Tiivistelmä:In the wake of corporate ethical scandals, it is questioned what causes unethical behaviour, and is there something to be done, if anything, to prevent similar transgressions in the future.
This study aims to take a further step. Much research has noted the impact of multiple aspects of organizational contexts on individuals' ethical behaviour (herein as: e-beh.). Yet, studies analyzing the impact of organizational learning (as: o-l.) capability (OLC) on employees' e-beh. are few and far between. Herein, this is the first aim. The second focuses on getting a deeper understanding of the relationship btw. OLC and e-beh. through the analysis of the mediating role of employability and organizational commitment (as: o-c).
The study's hypotheses is tested through a structural equation methodology applied to a sample of over 640 workers from nearly 170 Spanish consultancy firms. There is found a positive, direct relationship btw. OLC and employability, OLC and o-c., employability and o-c.t, and o-c. and e-beh.
