Tiivistelmä:The authors of the article conduct two longitudinal studies in order to examine the impact of social context on the relationship between psychological contract breach (PCB) and perceived organizational support (POS). The first study of 310 employees demonstrates that PCB signals the employees that the organization does not care about them (POS). The second study, conducted of 146 employees, indicates that employees' perceptions of organizational politics have a moderating effect on the relationship between PCB and POS. The study proves that the social context where psychological contract breach occurs does matter, and that considering the organization's perceived political environment could help managers anticipate the employees' response to PCB.
