| Tiivistelmä: | There was a survey study performed with 96 graduating student participants to gather data on the use of conventional (hereafter as: conv.) and digital design (herein as: d-d.) modelling tools. Also, opinion was sought from practitioners on the potential of employing totally digital techniques during professional practice. It is found out that respondents tended to use a combination of conv. and d-d. tools. Students were not familiar with the capabilities of some commercially available d-d. tools, being not fully exploiting digital sketching. It is concluded that opportunities exist for the development of learning and teaching in the area of the industrial and product design curriculum etc. |
