Tiivistelmä: | Healthcare (henceforth as: h-c.) organizations (herein as: orgs.) are facing the constant trade-off to control expenditures without sacrificing the patient care quality. The challenge of doing 'more with less' lead executives of h-c. orgs. to strongly invest in innovations to increase their orgs.' efficiency. From an individual-level perspective, this study's focus is on knowledge-sharing (here as: knw-shg.) behaviour among h-c. practitioners as a critical element to constantly improve the performance of h-c. orgs. The effect of intellectual capital (IC) on practitioners' knw-shg. behaviour is especially explored. Organisational knw-shg. climate is proposed as mediator. A survey on three h-c. orgs. is conducted. The results prove the positive link btw. IC and knw-shg. behaviour. It is found out that organisational knw-shg. climate fully mediates this relationship. |
