| Tiivistelmä: | This paper explores the implications of passenger consumer behaviour at airports with particular focus on the likelihood of merchandise purchased at airport stores and food and/or beverages being consumed at airport catering facilities. The study is based on a sample of over 20,000 passengers at seven different regional airports in Spain. The results are relevant for airport managers and local tourism policy managers. The variables determining the amount spent once the passenger has made the decision to consume at the airport are also analyzed. |
