| Tiivistelmä: | This paper focuses on qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) as a data analysis technique. The article shows that QCA can be understood two alternative ways: as a method of data description and as a method for the construction of functional models. The paper discusses interpretations of such models. In addition, the paper shows stochastic functional models, introducing how they can be used for QCA applications. |
