| Tiivistelmä: | This study investigates followers' conceptions of the preferred leader style from a gendered perspective. Evidence from 2008 individuals employed in the Greek public sector showed that men and women have different opinions about the ideal leader behaviour. In addition, the need for achievement is responsible for greater variations in perceptions of the preferred leader profile, supporting the fact that men and women cannot be considered as uniform groups when studying leadership preferences. |
