| Tiivistelmä: | Testing strategic management and organization theories has its difficulties. This article aims to mitigate those difficulties through a critical realist perspective. It provides a four-step approach for advanced theory testing that enlarges the focus to hypothesized causal mechanisms in addition to correlational methods. The article offers practical advise for deploying established research methods to test management theories. |
