| Tiivistelmä: | Purpose of this paper is to investigate two approaches for the exploring selected environmental impacts of sporting events. These two approaches are ecological footprint analysis and environmental input-output modelling. The paper shows how these techniques have been used in different sporting events in the UK and considers whether the techniques are suitable for examining the environmental impacts of mega sporting events, for instance, the Olympic Games. |
