| Tiivistelmä: | The meeting and convention industry is a fast growing segment of tourism industry and it has a strong impact on economies of host destinations. This article examines the aspects of the integration between Italian convention industry, tourism product supply and local infrastructure. The study uses a framework of cluster theory. The study provides managerial and political strategies that would increase competitiveness of the Italian convention industry. In addition, the results confirm the value of cluster theory in exploring the hospitality industry. |
