| Tiivistelmä: | This article is continuation to the first part. It presents a model of the use of the platinum group metals (PGMs) platinum, palladium, and rhodium in Europe. The model was combined with a model of the environmental pressures related to PGM production. Unlike in Part I, where the base case was presented, this half quantifies the potential changes in PGM production and use with regard to increasing environmental impacts and PGM resource use, for the period 20052020. Practical suggestions on how to reduce SO2 emissions are offered. |
