Tiivistelmä:As an extension of recent ethics research done by the authors, this study explores the relationships among core organizational (henceforth as: org-al.) values, org-al. ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and org-al. performance outcome.
Based on an analysis of online survey responses from a sample of IT professionals in the United States (U.S.), it is found that managers from organizations (herein as: orgs.) with organic core values reported a higher level of social responsibility (SR) relative to managers in orgs. with mechanistic values. In addition, it is indicated among others that managers in both mechanistic and organic orgs. perceived as more SR were also found as more ethical etc.
