| Tiivistelmä: | In business, teamwork dominates the field, and teams are able to solve problems and leverage opportunities efficiently with the use of creativity. Prior research suggests that this, however, requires a collaborative culture where team members interact and work together. This study analyzes team emotional intelligence and team trust, and the relationship between them, in order to understand the antecedents of team creativity. A survey of 82 student teams from a large university in the northern US was conducted, and the results indicate that team emotional intelligence promotes team trust, which, in turn, enhances the creativity of a team. Implications of the results are discussed. |
