| Tiivistelmä: | This introduction discusses the cross-national similarities and differences in gender, equality and industrial relations within a broader conceptual and policy context. The European policy context supports the positioning of gender and equality as key issues within the industrial relations system. Earlier the industrial relations underestimated the centrality of gender and other identity characteristics. |
