Tiivistelmä:The article studies the impacts of organizational culture preferences and sex on MBA graduates' incomes over an 8-year period. It draws on gender role theory and tournament theory to investigate the matter. The results indicate that masculine culture preferences led to higher salaries 4 years after the graduation, and the impact was stronger for women. Nevertheless, 8 years after graduation, men were reported higher income increase rates than women. The article suggests that the tournament-like aspect of careers could explain higher salaries in organizations.
