Tiivistelmä:This article examines formal strategic planning as a driver of creating awareness and formulating responses to stakeholder demands for corporate social responsibility (CSR). By studying a sample of heterogeneous companies in Australia, findings indicate that a formal strategic planning effort is positively related to CSR. In addition, a humanistic culture positively affects CSR, after accounting for a company's formal planning efforts.
